After installation completed and entered into OS, there are two kinds of OS for choosing: 2.4.20-8smp, and 2.4.20-8. When entering into OS 2.4.20-8smp and selecting shut down, it will not shut down properly. How should I solve the problem?(1/18/2005)
Answer:All ASRock motherboards support ACPI. Since Red Hat 9.0 is APM mode O/S, please refer to https://www.asrock.com/support/Download/P4i65GV.asp to download special BIOS which supports APM. After special BIOS updated, please type the command "Linux apm=power_off" at the beginning of Linux Red Hat 9.0 installation.
